NASA 2009 Event 2 MSR Cresson

It was a good weekend overall.

It rained all day Friday and into saturday morning.

I had my first wet qualifying and race that I thought went pretty well (didn't end up in the mud during either)

I am unclear on my finishing position in both saturday races..too busy to find times. I'll psot as soon as they are on mylaps.

On Sunday it was cool, but clear. I posted my fastest qualifying at MSR Cresson of a 1:20.5??? which was good enough for 5th spot on start. I was about 1 second off of Kevin in his ST-1 Corvette. Ic onsider that a major success.

Unfortunately, on lap 4 of qualifying I was working the car a bit hard and got 2 off at the exit of big bend. My front aero, air dam and splitter was annihilated to say the least. In the annihilation, my rear tire was punctured.

I rounded up two scrubs which unfortunately were toyo ra1s just to get me through the races. The car was a pushing pig. Even so, I think I only lost 2-3 positions from where I qualified in the race.

The weekend was great, motor runs good, car is handling well and not a drop of oil anywhere the whole weekend.
